Spiral Jetty

No, the Spiral Jetty is not in Rome. It's in Utah. I have a few minutes while K&E are taking a little snooze, so in an effort to fight off jet lag, I'm going to post in retrospect about the fabulous Spiral Jetty that Robert Smithson created in 1975. It was one of the first significant pieces of land art, and people come from all over the world to see it. The last time we were there we met a couple from Venice, Italy who came all the way to Utah just to see it. No really, just to see the Jetty! Cool huh...

It's best if you have four-wheel drive to get out there, and it's pretty close to Promontory Point, so you could get in a lot of sight seeing on one day. I think it would be cool to get to the Jetty about an hour before sunset. We'll try that next time.

Very cool Les!

Ok, so now I have photog questions! Did you use any special lenses, filters, anything? How did these get so cool? We're leaving for Yellowstone in a couple weeks and I'm sick with worry that I won't be able to adequately capture the experience!

Hope you're still soaking in Rome!

Love ya!
