Lincoln Center {New York City}

This is one of my favorite places. I adore the architecture, the travertine, the layout of the buildings, the contrasting and complementary modern/contemporary design elements, and the sprawling spaces that somehow make you feel like you have the city to yourself, but that you're at the center of it all at the same time.   I especially love watching my mesmerized children stare at the fountain, and then run free in the open space as if they'd never seen such a thing.  

I am not a huge fan of the color gold in general, but I could bask in the warm glow of the lobby of the Metropolitan Opera for the rest of my life.  Glorious.

Lincoln Center is definitely on my must see list.
