Use up those scraps!

This is one of my favorite projects that I've done so far. I sewed this entirely by hand, but it would be easy to do with a machine as well. Ella loves it (it's a Christmas present, but she'll be excited when she opens it again, I'm sure). I used squares from a charm/jolley pack of Amy Butler's 'Lotus.'

I took this project to Colorado and finished two balls fairly quickly. I did a running stitch to keep the seam in place for hand stitching, and I ended up leaving it in because I liked it so much.
