While we were waiting for our turn at the printing press, Eva taught us how to make custom envelope liners that are a perfect way to personalize a handmade gift. I don't think I've ever been so excited to mail Christmas cards.
Sycamore Street Press will be holding classes in the near future (Valentine's Day is going to be the next one), so keep an eye on Eva's blog for more information. I think I'll go to every class they offer- I'm not sure when I'll get to do this again, so I'm going to take full advantage. There's something truly incredible about creating something out of nothing- it's good for the soul.
Oh, and I may or may not have been obsessed with their studio space. You'll have to look at the pictures below to find out...
I love this candid Erin got of me looking at my first print- look how happy/proud I am!
Our paper scrap piles are perfect illustrations of our personalities... at the top is Erin's pile- organized, sorted, cut into useful shapes, and stacked nearly perfectly. At the bottom, my pathetic, tangled, unorganized, disorderly, hardly usable, scatterbrained mess. Just like me :) I'm one of those left-brained artsy types

Oh Leslie, you are seriously so talented! I LOVED all the wedding pictures! Gorgeous! You inspire me to be a better picture-taker! :) I love how you capture little moments with Ella - she is so cute!
Are you saying I am NOT a left-brained artsy type? :) I am talented because I can do both!
I'm glad you brought you camera so we could remember our fun/silly memories. Random elastic ball...
Thanks for coming and taking all these great shots! I take it we'll be seeing you at the next class? :)
Your blog blows me away Lesley. I just saw your pictures of the wedding you did and it's simply beautiful! You are very talented Lesley.
I was so bummed to not be able to take that class..it looks so fun! And very rewarding too...next time perhaps!

Wow! I hope I'm on yours and Erin's Christmas card list for a handmade, signed, numbered Christmas card!
